Road trip

Im taking my baby on a first really long road trip from N Texas to Reno NV and then to California, besides having the truck serviced even though ive only had it for a month any ideas on making sure i dont run into any issues, coolant and water will be on hand especially while driving through lots of desert. Was just wondering if afterwards i need to do a oil change again etc?

You will have a ball. I did a road trip the other way, from near San Francisco to Coleman, TX and averaged 40mpg round trip. You will love the range of your Maverick and just follow your usual oil change interval. A thousand miles here or there won't matter much. Snacks and grinks will be good to have. The Maverick thrives on this sort of travel.

Working on a trip, Cathy and I SE WI home, to Phoenix, then up to Glacier National Park, with lots of detours on the way. A fresh oil change before and after the trip expecting about 5000 miles. If the road trip stretches past 5000 I'll change oil at some layover.

We have 23 hybrid. Our first long road trip was to Dayton Ohio from Oregon. That was over 6000 miles round trip. Plus did some Route 66 where our only issue was a 3in nail, learned how to change a tire that day on a new Maverick. But now we have been on we have been on 6 long road trips with no issues at all. Will be at the Maverick meet-up later this month.
I keep up on all maintenance and recalls.
Been a great truck.
