I'll be going on a multi state road trip with the family next week and usually carry a tool roll with me with typical tools needed for basic emergencies or roadside repairs. For example, for my miata I carry a few metric sockets and box wrenches like 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 21mm, a pair of pliers, zip ties, couple of screwdrivers, etc.

Are there any must-have socket or wrench sizes or other tools I should bring with me? Thanks!

One of these ... recommend 1K AMP minimum ...

... and a lighted emergency triangle as well as a couple of emergency orange cones.

With this new of a HYBRID vehicle, highest probability failure mode is more likely to require emergency starting power than any wrench.

You are probably not going to do much DIY wrenching in an emergency other than a flat tire. I agree with MAVRICK about the jump starter. Maybe a good jack and wrench for the lug nuts? A fire extinguisher?

I pack a portable air pump, tire patch kit, small ratchet set, small tool set, battery jump starter in my vehicle as a matter of course. Any more than that I'll probably just call roadside assistance.
