Road Bike in Bed Hack

I looked for a mounting option that would maximize space, be easy, and let me leave the bed closed, and couldn't find one.

So, I made this bracket from two blocks of wood. It bolts right into the pre-existing weep hole. Hope this helps some fellow cyclists!

Did you use a self threading screw, or pull the wheel well liner and thread on a nut, or???

I like that is goes sideways and leaves more space for gear. I made one with a 2x6 across the front, like in the ford video, and it takes up more space. Great work!

Nice mount and nice bike! I had this mounting bar from 30 years ago and it works perfectly!

Ford has a video where they skid a piece of wood in the furthest up slot in the bed and mounted the through axle attachments there

@CYCLIST in addition to @MrMoustache's question above about the screw/bolt you used, I'd be curious about the dimensions of the wood you used, particularly the depth of the lower block that goes into the drain hole. I love this idea, but would like to have the ability to fit two bikes facing in opposite directions which would mean longer top pieces of wood so the opposing sides would be offset rather than even with one another.
