Replacement Lariat Fob without remote start.

If you are using a X AUTOHAUX 315MHz M3N-A2C93142300 Replacement Smart Proximity Fob it can leave you stranded. The unit I bought has this design flaw. The 6-pin chip was pushed off the PC board by the plastic pin.

If yours looks like these in the pictures (without the tape), check to see if the chip is loose. If it is, return or discard. If it is tight, you may want to consider cutting off the plastic pin, so it does not interfere with the chip.

Looks like they changed the design, this is one I just purchased from the same link, the pin lines up with the blank circle on the PCB. However, Intelligent Access only occasionally works with this fob so I'm probably returning it.
