several people on a FB post I made stated that their microphone quality is good and that people have never complained. I am not sure if there's a good batch of mics, or something else is different about their trucks (headliner installation? who knows), or what the explanation might be.

I am sure there are many, many Mavericks on the road with very poor handsfree calling quality based on my experiences with 2 trucks, and how many have reported they have quality issues as well. one person stated it sounded like driving with a window down, but the windows are up.
I was wondering that myself. I haven't had any issues with the mic on my 2022 Lariat Lux. I've asked multiple people how it sounds, usually every time I see a post like this, they all say it sounds fine.

Makes me wonder if they used the same mic on every trim, or switched at any point, I've been told mine's great. (3/23 Lariat)

My 2 trucks with issues were both Lariat lux. But I definitely wonder if multiple parts have been used and one of them works.

Lariat Lux has the SYNC3 I believe. I wonder if thats the difference and not the Mic? When I get my Mav i would be interested to see if
A) if the part # is the same for the Lariat vs XL XLT
B) If there is insulation above the Mic or does it sit in an empty space

B is definitely no insulation but it would be pretty easy to pull your mic down from the headliner and put some polyfill on the back side. I don't know if it would help but it's easy to try. easier than splicing a new mic in. 😄

I've asked multiple people how it sounds and all I ever get is "huh". Never gotten a straight answer so I just hang up and drive.
