Can these be removed without damaging the paint or finish? The wind deflectors look like they are stuck on with an adhesive and can be pulled off pretty easily.

What would be the best way to remove the wind deflectors?

Thanks

Maybe add heat from a hair dryer?

Use any cooking oil. Soak it for 2 days and rub it out.

if it was attached properly to the rubber window trim it will peel off super easy, just did this 2 days ago in 71 degree weather. If it was installed improperly and attached to the painted surface above the window trim then use heat, a hair dryer, get it nice and warm/hot then it easily peels off.

I don't smoke, smoking played a major role in the death of both my parents. I want to remove wind deflectors, never had them on a vehicle before and I don't like the look. In particular, these were mounted directly on the paint above the window which seems like it could ruin the paint finish in the long run. They came with a canceled Maverick order I bought off the lot.

Everybody, thank you for the ideas and once it stops raining here, I will take a pass at getting them off the truck.

If it's on the paint definitely use heat first, makes removal much much easier - dental floss too, particularly waxed types, won't scratch the surface and pulls through heated adhesive easily.

if you don't have a heat gun, a hairdryer on High will soften the adhesive enough.

GooGone, mineral spirits, dealer's choice for removing the remaining adhesive.

Good Luck!
