On August 26.2025, the dealer did Transport Canada recall 2025-281. The faulty block heater was removed & the associated wiring was given to me to keep until the replacement block heater arrived. It is now 4months later & the replacement has not arrived.

I wrote to Ford of Canada & all I got mas a flowery apology plus this statement:
While we do not have a specific date for the arrival of the replacement part, please be aware that occasionally parts supply chains can experience delays independently of our will due to various factors such as transportation, engineering changes, or supplier capabilities; however, parts are anticipated to be available the 1st quarter of 2026. Once parts become available, you'll be notified by mail.

Is there anyway I can get this done before an out-of-town trip in February?

We have no way of knowing when the parts will be available, not much we can do to help.

From the sounds of the response parts could become available sometime before the end of March at the latest.

I’ve seen threads on various different parts being on back order for long periods of time in the past, my only thoughts are seeing what a different ford dealer in your area might say or if you have the part number or can find it search online to see what results come up.

I am heading to Arizona in mid-February. Once there I'll get in touch with a local dealer to see if they can help.

I have an appointment on the 13th for the fix/recall. Called talked to service about a week later maybe more they called got the parts and scheduled the service appointment.

Estimate 2.5 hours, but Ford says it pays 1.4 hours to fix. I'm located Northern Michigan. I suggest calling your dealership. Of course they can not do anything tell they receive the parts for the recall.

Hope this information helps. Just a guess but the timing suggests they are just starting to get the parts distributed.

I got the recall notice last week. It said do not use the block heater and that no parts are available.
