This almost never happens, but sometimes the screen can get stuck or my phone doesn't pair up with the infotainment. Unplugging/replugging it doesn't work.

The solution I've found is to restart the screen by pressing the steering wheel buttons:

Ford Maverick Rebooting a stuck screen (reset the A/V) mav-av-reset

  • Truck must be on or in accessory mode
  • Unplug your phone (if on cable)
  • Hold Volume Down and Next Track buttons for 10 seconds (or until the screen goes blank)
  • Wait
  • Replug the phone

On my 25 Lariat, my phone (iPhone) won’t always invoke the CarPlay on the screen And the truck doesn’t recognize my phone. I have learned by trial and error, that if I go into setting on my phone and turn Bluetooth off, then immediately back on, then scroll to Bluetooth devices and choose Maverick, it always immediately recognizes my phone and starts up CarPlay

I've never seen the reboot method like that with the steering wheel buttons. I'll have to try it!

If I ever need to do the reboot, I do the power button + seek forward button combo.

This past Thursday I had a similar situation in which my display worked but the audio flat out stopped. The audio button was blacked out and you couldn't access the am/fm radio or satellite. I turned the truck off and after sitting for a few seconds I turned the key to the on position and held in the volume button (on the screen) for a good ten seconds. Upon releasing it instantly rebooted and all was fixed.

For the first time in 3 1/2 years my infotainment system failed to start up when I started the Truck today. The screen was black and the radio was dead! All I did to get it back was shut down the Truck wait a few minutes and then start it up again. Now it’s back to normaL I guess we don’t live in a Perfect World!! LOL
