Anyone else's rear seat center alert over sensitive? My rear seatbelt warning in the center keeps going off when my kid is in the actual passenger rear seat. Does use a backless booster. I just clipped the belt in cause, whatever but it's a bit annoying. Doubt there's anything really wrong with the car as the belt monitor doesn't go off when no one is sitting back there, just that the sensor is a bit touchy. Am I the only one, or do other folks with kids have this issue?
Yes, one passenger and the center warning goes off. Now it stays buckled.

It doesn't notice when our dogs are back there, 55&65 lbs.

mine is so sensitive it goes off with mu backpack in the passenger side rear seat. I went to Ford and picked up a seat belt extender (any Ford dealer and there are free), plugged it in and it stays in.

The spurious center seatbelt warning started happening on my 24 XLT last night, after having an adult on one side.
Has anyone been able to solve it? (Not just plugging in the center seatbelt). And if, did it involve the dealer?

I just got a 24 xlt hybrid that has less than 800 miles on it right now and it started doing this to me last week. Yesterday i had someone on the passenger side back seat and now the center seat belt light stays on with no one back there unless i plug in the belt. Anyone gotten any help from a dealer?

Just keep the belt buckled or disable the chime for that seat position. They can be individually disabled, But I doubt the dealer will do it for you. You have to do it yourself. Do a forum thread search for how to disable seat belt chime.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

My 23 Hybrid XLT is the same, the middle sensor always activates whenever a single passenger is on either side.

Like a lot of us I probably don't have any more than a passenger in mine 95% of the time, but when I do have rear passengers the center seat almost always pops up red with an X on the display and dings at me for a few minutes. Minor annoyance, but if that happened every time I drove it I think it would drive me nuts. I wonder if possible to just remove that sensor or deactivate it with Forscan maybe? I doubt I would ever have enough people to use that seat for anything. If you could just reactivate it if needed that would be a good solution I think.

Hey! I can take a closer look into your rear seat sensor concern should you need further assistance. Can you send us a direct message with your VIN and the dealership details?

Same issue... 2024 Lariat EcoBoost... Extremely sensitive center rear seat. God forbid a woman put a 2 lb purse next to her. So, I keep the armrest down and the center seatbelt fastened.. eliminates the warning.

I usually keep the middle seat buckled to minimize this.
