I want to put tint on my top part of my windshield, I still have no idea what that compartment at rear of my rear mirror is for.

Not only will it not last but on the Maverick it covers the camera that is used for collision detection.
My tint company did the eyebrow tint on the inside and it is seamless to the black box camera housing.

What does the AS1 arrow line on a windshield serve?
This also reads AS1 but has an arrow in between and a line. This shows the lowest point at which the glass can be darker than clear (that AS1 transparency from above). This comes in handy when you want to install an aftermarket tint strip or if a glass manufacturer wants to include one within the glass.
I believe I read it’s a camera for the automatic brakingYou mean the black plastic box in the center of the windshield? I think that houses some driver assistance tech including CP360 if you ordered that. Otherwise I have no idea what you mean.
