Na! I take pride in my ride. Not a show off but was taught many years ago a clean car always looks better than dirty no matter the car. Plus it was part of preventative maintenance ( Truck Driving family). I was polishing my wheels one day when I was told " You know it ain't cool if your chrome don't shine" by a guy passing bye.

Bought a Nano technology kit a few years ago to work on my 04 Silverado. Claim is if you drop clay you thow it away. Nano says you can just rense it off in water. I have used it many times on different cars. I can tell the difference before and after the cleaning.

I've never even heard of a clay bar until I read of it in this forum. But I figured it never hurts to try something new, so I gave it a shot on the hood and did the ceramic thing after. Looked fine after the job...but not any better than the rest of the truck to my eye. It was a LOT of work, and I can't imagine doing the whole vehicle that way, so I will stick with my Turtle Wax going forward. But I suppose it's possible my aversion to back breaking labor has affected my opinion ever so slightly. 😉
On the plus side however, it does shed water like nobody's business. 😍

You will be happiest with the outcome if you do all the prep work in full prior to applying ceramic coatings.

In the evening of day 1:
1. Three-bucket wash / shampoo (rinse)
2. De-iron, de-contamination (rinse)
3. Claybar (rinse)
4. Compound polish

Breaking the prep work into two days gives you a chance to rest in what is otherwise a long job for a single day.

In the morning of day 2:
5. Plastic trim cleaner
6. Isopropyl alcohol, microfiber wipe
7. Ceramic coating application

Let the ceramic sit and cure for a couple of days before leaving the garage after application for best results.
^ this. You would not believe the crap on new paint. More so if the kid at the dealer added swirl marks(they normally do)
Any swirl mark, iron dust etc reduces the percentage of shine you get.
all a matter of preference as I know some they the only car wash they ever get is rain 😂

probably said a million times by now, but claying removes bonded contaminants like from rails and what not. so prior to a wax i would clay. easy way to tell is put your hand in a ziploc bag and run it over and if it feels smooth its good if it feels bumpy then id clay. for iron related stuff like brake or rail dust id use an iron remover first, it makes a nice purple color too ;) but smells BAD! depending on the condition id polish lightly since its a new vehicle, compound usually isnt necessary unless the defects are abormally bad. then IPA wipe, and apply wax

soooooo

1. wash
2. iron remove
3.clay
4. IPA wipe
5. wax

i have experience withc quartz. not that specific one, but the one in the blue bottle and for wheels, those are what i usually end up doing. have used gyeon once, again not the same one but it came out fine. nothing to talk abotu though. honestly think it'd like asking thr better wax, most name brands are all pretty good so then its personally preference and which you have more experience with and what you like best. each one you learn different tidbits about how they work and how ot be better more efficient etc

I just ended up trying :
Mothers Ultimate Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax

I have no complaints and it did make my Cyber orange a little deeper. I figure I will do it every year or so anyway.

Holy Cow Buddy………If you have posted that Photograph before I missed it. I have spent the last week researching the CLC teardrop. Did you build that one or buy it from someone. I have been having dreams of pulling that behind a cyber orange Mav. But it sure looks AWESOME behind yours. Friggin Cool Dude. I love that lil rig.
