So.. these antenna's are only for AM/FM, correct? Is it the GPS one inside the sharkfin itself? I have no need for AM/FM. If that's the case, I'm just going to remove it all together. Does the sharkfin come off easily or does it have to be removed from the inside? Because it's the same setup as my previous Escape and I'd just look for one from the Escapes to replace it so I don't have this half shark fin open thread thing on the top of my truck.
*Edit, service manual says it's inside the cab. Dang. Still curious though about the antenna being AM/FM or if it's needed for anything else. For reference, here is the "How to remove" portion:
