Random honking while unlocked

It's a 25 Lariat. The keys are ALWAYS in the truck, and it's never honked at me before

If it's a new condition, take it to the dealership. If it was an alarm event, the scan tool will often identify which lock triggered the alarm. Then they can go from there. It's usually a faulty lock switch.

Info screen, settings, software, should list the date of last update.

Thank You! I did spend enough time in the truck to find that screen. It said all was up to date but it didn't tell me if it did anything last night. Our roof is metal and I doubt it could communicate with Ford while it is in the garage

So not locked with fob - which would be required to arm the different alarms.

My 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD just started honking continuously while parked in our garage unlocked. I couldn't find a previous thread, so I'm asking for help. The doors and tailgate were closed. Has anyone seen this before and have any advice?

I have experienced random horn honking while driving over rutted roads and sand roads. It happens out of nowhere and stops just as randomly. I have taken it to Ford, who checked all of the connections on the horn, and we could find nothing. It certainly annoys any other people that are around, but it hasn't happened again in some time. If I find a fix, I will let you all know, but it did/does happen.

Hi, No pets, no mice, and my phone does work in the garage but it uses our WiFi when we are home. It made it through the night without a beep! I don't know what alarms it has but it is a Lariat with the tow package so it probably has everything Ford has.

Thanks! We have 5 miles of washboard gravel road to get to out home in the middle of a forest. Every trip is a vibration/rattle test for the truck. So far it has done perfectly. I am amazed how smooth it rides and how quiet it is inside. Except for the HVAC control being on the touch screen, I love this truck!

I just looked at the sticker and mine does have the perimeter alarm.
I will let you know if it does it again. Maybe it's just one of these weird Maverick things!!

A tad more than the passive alarm which is just looking for the wrong key to have been used.
It must not have thought unauthorized entry - or a start would be required.
Hmmm - if it thinks the 12V has been unplugged...

How Does the Anti-Theft Alarm System Work

When armed, the anti-theft alarm is triggered in any of the following ways:

• If someone opens a door, the liftgate or the hood without a correctly coded key or remote control.
• If you turn the power on without a correctly coded key.
• If the interior sensors detect movement inside your vehicle.
• If the inclination sensors detect an attempt to raise your vehicle.
• If someone disconnects your vehicle's 12V battery or the battery backup alarm.

If the anti-theft alarm is triggered, the alarm horn sounds for 30 seconds and the turn signals flash for 5 minutes.
Any further attempts to carry out one of the above sounds the alarm again.
