Well that throws a wrench in it. (you didn't state it was turned off or on)I get this on my XLT with a key ignition, so the car is definitely stopped. And always in park. It always decides to honk when there is some mother with a small child near the vehicle - just being obnoxious I guess. Totally random. Once or twice a month.
I was guessing a malfunctioning sensor - couldn't tell truck was in Park, but saw door open.
Couldn't see fob inside or outside truck - so assumed inside or walked away.
But non-keyless entry fob that isn't broadcasting constantly and being listened for - hmmm.
Unless all the receivers are installed, and merely disabled depending on trim - but sometimes they are looking and complaining due to glitch?
A lock all attempt with right settings and hood, door, or tailgate ajar should cause double-honk.
But no lock all is being attempted.
Random glitches with no verified way to cause them - ugh.
