My dealer told me my truck is showing in Arizona. It's been in the same town in Arizona all week. Delivery window is/was March 31 to April 5. Is it normal for trucks to sit on a train in the same town for that long?

I live in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. What are the odds I see my truck by the 5th?

Similar story: I was shipped (by rail) March 1 and scheduled between March 23 and March 29th. On March 23, I was told that it was in Illinois (I live in western New York). On March 29 it was STILL in Illinois. My scheduling projection got updated to: March 29- April 4.
Still no Maverick. Hopefully the second projection was accurate. I wonder if the last stretch of the journey is by truck and the trucker shortage has delayed it?

This is exactly my situation and I am in Eastern NY. Every week my delivery gets bumped a week.

Probably on the same train as mine; same ship date and window.

Have you gotten any updates on its location? Who is your dealer?
Dave Smith Ford. I haven't had any recent updates. I'd asked about the railcar number three weeks ago and the question got kind of sidestepped. So mostly I've just been watching the window sticker generation dates and Palsapp.

I couldn’t get a rail number either. I’m planning on checking the location today I’ll let ya know what they say. Hopefully our trucks are on the way. I guess the good news about the late arrival is that this is one less salty western NY winter to rust up your new truck.

Just to share since it sounds like you both have been waiting for a while with your trains in Illinois, mine was in Illinois for almost three weeks. It’s just an incredibly congested area for switching lines so transit times through there are abysmal.

My truck is sitting in the CSX yard in Jacksonville, FL awaiting auto-transport to the dealership. Apparently Jacksonville is the distributor hub for all of FL. Mine was supposed to be delivered between March 13-19th...and here we are...April 2nd and still no truck. I've had an easier time making arrangements for horse transports from NY to FL. Three days...boom, no problem.

Yeah, I'm not too fussed about it just yet (I've waited nearly 10 months already, after all). I know Shelby1962 who's also local was about 5 weeks transit time and likewise got stuck in Indiana for a bit.

It occurred to me reading this forum that I may have been extremely fortunate in my choice of dealership because it is within 2 miles of a large railyard. I didn't have much communication from Ford about my Maverick, but I did find out it was built in March, and I also picked it up in March. I am guessing it had an expedited journey and spent very little, if any, time on a truck. Who knew dealership location was going to be an advantage??

Why won’t your dealer give you the rail car number? Takes 1 minute for them to look up.

My dealers tracking showed my truck sitting in Nogales Mexico for weeks but it eventually showed up. About 5.5 weeks shipping time to North Carolina
