Well, I didn’t think it would happen and then it did. My Maverick finally came.
Back when I initially placed my order (almost two years ago) I had a Prius and was ready to trade it in. Like many of us, the order was taking forever so I gave up, “cancelled” my order, got my deposit back, and traded in the Prius for a 2022 Tacoma.
Fast forward to two days ago and Ford calls me, says my Maverick showed up and if I’m still interested. I laughed and said yeah right, almost two years later??? Well, I decided to go down and take a look, take it for a test drive and I fell in love. It was the hybrid truck I wanted all along. Ford was even offering it to me at MSRP which is crazy because as soon as that truck is placed on the lot for sale, it gets a $10,000 bump in price, at least. Not to mention the hybrids fly off the lot first day they’re put out there.
Anyway, I am happy to report that I got my Maverick Hybrid. Negotiated a decent payment and only a few grand down, traded the Tacoma in and the rest is history. So happy everything ended up working out.
Hope the stars align for any other folks out there in similar situations.
