2024 Lariat Hybrid:
All was fine for 12 months. Now having some issues with the radio. Touchscreen will go dead, no buttons work. Volume knob still works and show the volume setting on the screen but no sound. Would wake up after I turned the truck off, waited ten minutes and restarted. Just turning off and immediately restarting would not work. Now, all the presets display SirrusXM. If i push that channel, the preset is there, the correct station plays, and the button display shows the right label. But pushing every channel to get the correct displays is a pain. And it seems to revert back to the SirrusXM display after the truck is turned off and restarted. Any ideas?????

May just need a reboot.

Hold down the Power button & Skip Fwd button for 7 - 10 seconds until you see the Ford boot screen. Infotainment system will reboot and probably fix the glitch.

My 24 Lariat hybrid: Sync 3 started acting up out of the blue. Reset didn't help. There is a software update that will fix this. You should have received notification.

I am leery of dealers but I bit the bullet and had all 3 software recalls done and my Sync 3 now works just fine.

My dealer has mobil service for software updates so they came to me and did the software updates. The first thing he did was check the state of my 12v battery [checked out good]. Then off to the updates.

I have to wonder if Ford is doing an over the air update on the entertainment system (that makes it act up) in order to get you to schedule the recalls. I know many folks (myself included) are delaying getting the recalls either because they have caused problems or a just waiting so they can include more.

RE: Sync 3 audio - mine started misbehaving out of the blue. I can't imagine FoMoCo would deliberately cause this as it costs them $$$ to send out the mobil service tech.

[Edit] The Sync 3 recall is: 24B47

I don't subscribe to most conspiracy theories. I think the software is so darn complex that there are unintended consequences when the try to solve one bug but unintenionally create another.

Join the Party, I got the latest software after complaining about it, still happens not as much, freezes, buttons don't work for channels, shuts off out of nowhere, etc. now when I hit a bump it changes channels or shuts off. Am afraid to tell the dealer don't want them driving around hitting potholes or curbs to confirm. Am lucky I only listen to news stations
so it's not so bad when it happens. Also, washer fluid light coming on a lot tank is full they can't confirm, and I know they don't want to remove fender liner to check the connection at the tank lots of complains about that on channel. Still love my truck, you have to deal with these things when you get the first-year model that I tell friends and family never do and what do I do? 38 years working in back end of dealer and 10 at small shop 48 years later you would think I would know better.
