Radio does not pull in any stations, just produces static

2nd day of ownership, 24 XLT Tremor. Live in the DFW area, major population center. Radio does not pull in any stations just produces static. Did the Master/Factory reset did not help. Checked Antenna unscrewed and screwed it back on, no change. Any other things to check before I take it to the dealership?

Maybe the antenna wasn't properly connected to the radio at the factory. If it were mine it would go back to the dealer.

Is it a problem on FM and AM? Regardless, after all the resets, if it doesn't fix it, take it to the dealer.

Tried all the resets, checked for any software updates, to no avail. Will call Monday to schedule it for service.

Sounds like it left the dealer with this issue, if so, can't say much about the dealer prep of a new vehicle that they did not catch. I checked out several things (including the radio) before I even left the lot when I picked up mine less than a month ago... Only issue I have so far is more wind noise than it should have somewhere around the A pillar on the passenger side. Calling them Monday to set up for my 1st oil change. Have always change at around 1000 miles on every new vehicle I have ever bought. Will add the wind noise to that appointment.

Just a quick note, once it does start working ( sounds like the antenna is not plugged in on the back of the radio - same as my Buick from brand new), don't expect much. In the city it works but it has zero ability to pull in hardly any stations that are even a smidge away. Worst radio by far I've ever had in any vehicle!

From NPR (and may I say Ford Mavericks have neither of these):

RADIOS: For good reception, a radio must have good selectivity (selectivity is a radio's ability to separate weak stations located nearby, on the FM dial, strong stations) and good sensitivity (the ability to receive weak, distant, stations at all!)

Update as of 10/20/24, the radio now tunes in stations however there is some static coming from the speakers. Going to still call the dealership. Did not do anything more than what I had previously done.
