I searched the forum and waded through many, many posts for an answer. If I missed something, please feel free to add a link to it!

How do I (easiest way) fish wire from the rear bed cubby to the grommet in the bed closest to the cab?

Thanks in advance?

Thank you for your response and I was afraid that might be the case. Unfortunately, I have fender flares installed and this won't be easy...
I think I'm referring to a different grommet than you but I think it's the same answer. 🫤

I answered my own question.
I pulled off the tail light and I was surprised at how open the sides of the bed are!
Since I was solo today, I pulled out the front grommet and put a flashlight on it. Then I used a piece of trim I had in the shop with a piece of string tied to it. I positioned it where I could see the light shining on it (lined up with the hole) and clamped it in place but it kept sliding down before I could get to it, so I used my roll of electrical tape as a cointer balance. 😂 I was able to grab the string with needlenosed pliers and used it to pull my wire to the rear cubby!!

Glad you got that sorted out.

So, what are you connecting to this new wiring? (y)

We've got camping friends that love their rooftop tents and for short term/overlanding, I think it has merit over our boondocking popup. I've contemplated one for our 4Runner - back and forth but the cons for me are gas mileage/drag, price of infrastructure to mount and price of it all but my biggest con is having to crawl up and down the ladder!! Maybe it's telling of my age but skinny ladder at 2am for a pee trip is a definite con. 🤣😂

I settled on this build. I have built a similar hard cover for a previous truck. We travel/hike/camp and hate our gear being exposed at trailheads or hotel parking lots, etc... I just added a hinge and morphed into this build.
