Hi there,
I got confirmation of my production date from ford on Thursday. I am inquiring about the special private offer.
My original Ford Maverick order was placed on 11/12/21. I ordered an XLT Hybrid Maverick with the Luxury package. That truck was never made. I received an email back on May from Ford stating I had two options. I could contact my dealer and they would remove some of the constraints to get my 2022 model made, or I could roll it into a 2023 model and receive a special private offer on the new model. I put my order for my 2023 model Maverick in on 09/16/23
Should I have received more info on this offer? I’ve gotten nothing else. I don’t know what to expect come time I go to the dealer. Thanks in Advance!

I was able to get my certificate number tied to my private offer from Ford CS. But your dealer should see it, as well.

Don’t wait — Make sure the private offer is connected to your order NOW.

First try Ford Customer Service to see if they can provide you with the certificate number. You will need your MY22 order number and your MY23 order number, which was set by the dealer.

Many have confirmed their private offer and received their certificate number this way. If you have a certifcate number, you should be good to go. But you could still check with your dealer, to make sure it is showing in their system.

The private offer is tied to your name, address, and phone number being identical in both your MY22 and MY23 orders. If any one of these is off by a single character, then no private offer will be in the system at the time of sale.

The only way to know that you have a private offer is to call Ford Marketing or have your dealer check it in their system.

If Ford Customer Service can’t help,, go see your sales rep — or preferably the sales mgr. — as soon as you can.

*** If the dealer doesn’t see it in the system, the dealer needs to contact his Ford Sales and Inventory Specialist, who he needs to work with to fix this.

They will need the required customer information (Customer Name, Address, Phone Number, Order Number (original MY22 order number AND your MY23 order number — they may not be the same) as well as the COVP/ROVP verification number on your MY22 order to confirm eligibility.

COVP is the Customer Order Verification Process — it’s vital your dealer did COVP on your MY22 order, or you won’t be able to get the private offer:

“Customer must have an unscheduled 22MY retail order that was enrolled and approved in Maverick’s COVP Lead to Order Program prior to the previously-communicated cut-off date of 11/17/2021 for Maverick Hybrid orders and 2/2/2022 for Maverick EcoBoost Gas orders in order to qualify for the private offer. “

If your MY22 order was COVP’d, but your private offer doesn't show up, it is typically because of mismatched or mislinked information between orders. It can be something as simple as your address was put in as “Ave.” on one order, and “Av.” on the second one.

(In our case, our last name was entered two different ways between the two orders. Maddening… The dealer was finally able to get it sorted out, but he had to file for an exception (“Exception to Policy”) from Ford, and it took a couple of days. … After our Maverick had already been delivered to his lot.)

Good luck!

My private offer did show up in they system till some time in between the the truck getting in the production lineup at the plant ( not just scheduled to a week by ford corporate but when the plant scheduled it to a day to start production) and it being finished be built.
Customer support gave me the cert# but then I went in to purchase the truck I didn't need to produce it to the salesman.. He had it all set up to take the discount off.

Yep, that’s the way it SHOULD work — Customer shouldn’t have to do anything, and shouldn’t even have to know about it. It should just show up in the dealer’s system on your order.

BUT — Since it doesn’t take much for it NOT to show up (One character different between how your MY22 order and MY23 order were entered will do it), it’s advisable to be proactive and verify it just as soon as you receive a VIN # for your MY23 truck.

Thanks to this forum, and @fordvideoguy , we knew a whole lot more than our dealer did about the private transition offer.

If it were not for this forum, we would not have known about it. And would have paid $1,750 more for our Maverick.

Well when I placed the first order on 1/22/22. We live on the stateline of Wi/IL... We lived on the WI side for 25years.. And just bought a house 5 miles into IL in late sep 21. I hadn't changed my driver's license to IL at the time of me ordering... So he put the new address in the system but submitted my Wisconsin Driver's License and said it would be fine eventually I think in end of April was when I switched my driver's license. I asked him if he needed to make a new copy for the customer verification he said no then I think a month after that I had some work done in my truck and I bumped into him and had him make a copy of the new license that matched the address the order was placed with now in hindsight I'm glad I did cuz I think I would have made the private offer hell trying to get

That’s definitely going to help, that your dealer knows you moved between orders. (That’s what happened, right?) But still would be a problem if the address on your MY22 order does not match what’s on your MY23 order.

Did you get your Maverick and private offer already? Or are you still waiting?

I had moved before I placed a order for 22. Just never transferred my DL. From one state to the next so I order with the new address but they took copies of the old DL.

Yes I did get the truck actually I just picked it up this Friday... Came in to dealer ship on Monday the 6th with only 6 miles on it.. Had the dealership get bed liner and tinted windows. So when I picked it up this Friday it had 30miles on it.. Now I have 149 miles... The truck finished production on 1/12
I love the alto blue, blue in the sun and in the shade or cloudy it almost looks black

We just picked our up last Monday. Came into the dealer the Thursday before, but had to wait for dealer to get the private offer for us before we did the sale. Took a few days because sales rep spelled our name with a space in it in one order, without the space in the other.

Ours arrived with 7 miles on it. We took it to get spray-in bed liner ourselves, and drove it down to Philadelphia and back (two hours 1-way) yesterday ... But still on our first tank of gas.

I contacted for CS. They don’t see an offer for me, I contacted my dealer, they stated that all the private offers are generated from Ford directly. I’m getting both sides blaming each other and not sure what to do..

My truck was scheduled 11/3/22 for the week of 12/19/22 and got pushed to 1/3/23. Then again to 1/9/23... And finished production on 1/12/23 and shipped on 1/14/23

Some time between 1/9/23 and 1/14/23 is when the private offer got put into the system
On 1/9/23 customer support confirmed it was not in the system... Then when I called again on 1/14 it was in there and gave me the certificate #

First, re-read KdbE message and do everying he said.

The absolute most important thing is that your dealer did the COVP for your MY22 order. Contact the dealer and ask them for the MY22 COVP confirmation code (even better, get the whole confermation e-mail that Ford sends to the dealer). If you have the MY22 COVP confirmation code, then your chances of getting the Private Offer are 90%+. All your dealer has to do is send your info along with the confirmation code to their "Ford Inventory Specialist" to get it resolved. If you can't get it, then your chances are probably less than 20% since since this means either the dealer did not COVP the MY22 order, they are lazy, or hoping you drop the order so that they can sell at a markup. I am fighting this exact same issue right now. Best of luck to you.
