As you see from my posts on this thread, I've been around the same circles as you of calling Ford customer service and the dealer discussions.Spoke with Ford Marketing yesterday and my special offer certificate is now valid thru 7/5/2023. Spoke to the sales mgr. at the dealership asking him to send my information over to their Ford Sales & Inventory Specialist. He said that all the other times he has tried, the rep. will not budge and let the COVP be updated. He said they will not update mine but will try again with the rep. He suggested to talk to Ford Customer Care again and kick it up a notch. Called Ford Customer Service said they would open up a case & file a complaint against the dealership. BUT I still need to continue to work with the dealership. For weeks now I'm just going in circles between the dealer, Ford Customer Svc., and Ford Marketing. I think my next move is to file a complaint with the BBB.
Ultimately Ford said that I have to work with dealer to resolve the issue of missing incentive. I gave up on Ford doing anything to assist.
That's when I went above the Sales Manager and emailed to the actual owner of the dealership.
The owner forced the sales manager to work my private offer issue. Sales manager finally figured out the process to get my private offer generated. Even though they screwed up the amount.
Basically I had to find someone at the dealership that could get the ball rolling.
When they screwed up the amount, I kept pushing, but the owner was done talking at that point.
So I decided to buy it before they try to back out of deal. Someone posted recently that their dealer sold the Mav to someone else and one of the excuses eventually given was they were worried he would give them a bad survey review. I'm sure markup had a big part of it also. They really value that dealer survey.
Keep fighting, but read the room and see where you stand overall. I was willing to walk at one point, luckily my wife and people here said a moral victory would cost more financially in the long run since I was still getting a good deal. In addition to starting over after already waiting over 500 days. You just have to weigh all those factors in your decision.
Too bad Ford didn't create a way to resolve these kind of disputes outside of dealership as it keeps happening based on multiple posts I keep seeing.
Good Luck
