My long awaited Lariat has finally shipped and should be arriving fairly soon. I'd like to keep the seats nice, but I trail run, hunt, fish, and participate in other activities that will get me sitting down dirty, sweaty, and stinky. I'm looking for some experienced suggestions on seat covers. I'm undecided on whether I want a really nice set that I just leave on or some that go on and off easily, to put on when I'm dirty.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I've had Wet Okole and Clazzio on previous vehicles and tried the Mabett on the Maverick but didn't care for it.

I can't speak for something cheap to throw on / throw off, but there's a bunch of seat sports towels on Amazon for $20 - $40.

I'd recommend the Clazzio for a nice set (leather insert / vinyl outer), they fit tight after adjustment and the tie / strap system is durable, not flimsy like some other brands. Just don't go with light colors or they could stain. The Christmas sale code on their website was still active for me (SAVE10) in January to get 10% off.

Wet Okole is a good option for wet /sweaty, but the fabric cover ended up getting a few holes from me having hard objects on the seat with sharp or rough corners (lumber, metal parts, etc). Again, lighter covers can stain but the seats are removeable and fully hand washable.

The Mabett PU covers looked and fit great for about half the price of the Clazzios, but the texture was almost that of a soft touch non-skid coating on a cellphone, computer mouse or remote, not comfortable to sit on and hot. Any sweat or liquid also immediately stood out as a shiny black and needed to be wiped off to get back to the original texture. I can't comment on the durability, it was softer than the Clazzio vinyl but also with more stretch.

plenty of options on this forum, do a search for photos and fits. Common options seen are Mabett (cheap, solid reviews, form fitting, only black color) or Okole (expensive, custom fit, custom colors)

I've always searched for, "seat covers". I never thought of "towels". Thank you! Decision made! I'm just ordered front and rear towels on Amazon for a total of $54. The flexibility suits my needs perfectly. If I ever wear out the stock seats then I'll order some of the quality and higher priced covers (like the Wet Okole).

Thanks for the input.

I have the perforated leather insert Clazzio's on my Maverick now (at some point I'll make a thread and post pics). I emailed them prior to purchase to confirm they are compatible with the factory XTL Lux package seat heaters.

The factory heaters definitely still work, but do take longer to get the heat through the cover backing and leather. I start on the max setting (3 dash) then drop it down after about 10 minutes, working so far.

I have Nappa Leather Coverado covers on both my Mavericks. They are the slip on type that covers the front, sides and back completely but still allow airbag deployment. Fit great and under $175 on Amazon or eBay, and come in black, gray, brown and beige (gray on my Cactus Gray Maverick!)

Are the ford branded covers (for a gas truck) a bad option for some reason?

Some on the different Maverick forums were skeptical regarding seat covers saying they could possibly restrict side airbags, if deployed in an accident, that's why I've been hesitant now on purchasing any?

Was there anymore info on seatcovers and airbag restrictions..I saw the topic once on here but nothing more was advised..

I got Carhartt seat covers with my Ford Pass points off the app. Easy to install and Carhartt durable. JM2C
