Updated with recent comments…thanks.

So my XL Hybrid is in production and is projected to be delivered by mid-June…I’ve been told. So, to prepare financially for the sales day, after reading thru this forum, I have identified several items that I could participate in when making the deal. These are in no particular order, and if this type of message has already been summarized, please advise.

1. X-Plan: One needs to hold stock for 6 months prior to purchase and apply for an X-Plan number/certificate. I’m unsure how much of a discount one gets but anything is good.

Edit: as mentioned below, this is a dealer option. Also mentioned you choose between this or the Farm Bureau Credit and cannot combine the two.
Also mentioned was using the X-Plan thru Veterans Advantage versus Ford Stock for a greater discount.

2. Ford Pass: I could not find that the Maverick could be purchased thru the Ford Pass and get points. So, is that true? I know accessories can and other models.

Edit: as mentioned below, the Maverick is eligible for Ford Pass Points (42,000).

3. Smart Vincent or PCO (Private Cash Offer per Ford personnel on the 800#): Now supposedly, this will allow one to get a very low interest rate for maybe 36 months. There may be other requirements attached to this plan, but I have could not discern them.

Edit: be sure to compare the rates and discounts for the different finance plans offered. Higher rate with cash offer for shorter time may not be as good as a lower rate for longer time.

4. Farm Bureau Credit: I have seen where one can apply for one in Illinois for $20 and get $500 discount even if you don’t live in Illinois. But, I wasn’t sure if this is dependent by dealer or Ford.

Edit 5. Active or retired military will get a $500 discount. PS: thank you for your service!!

If you know of more ways to get discounts or have comments on the above, they would be welcomed.

So my last comment on #4 could be applied to all of these, whether my dealer will accept any of those listed above. A big thanks to this forum for shedding light not only in this area, but the many other areas brought to life when living with a Maverick.

PS: A side note, thanks for the heads up on the $100 gift card for merchandise 😊.

I know that not all dealerships accept x plan. It is their choice. And one of the details in the fine print of the Farm Bureau rebate is that it is not combinable with x plan.

We used X plan through Veterans Advantage, not Ford stock, and saved about $900, a good portion of that because only $100 is allowed for document fees If using X plan.

When you buy your Maverick you will receive 42,000 points that can be used for future Ford products.

If you are active military or retiree you are eligible for $500 military discount.

Good luck!

if you are financing you have to account for when you can apply discounts as well. For instance I plan 1.9% for 60 months from original order which is cheaper than current 3.9% combined with current $750 PCO.

Yes, Farm Bureau is only $20 to join to get the $500 discount. You do not have to be a resident of Illinois, be a farmer, or own farmland. Phone number to join is 309-663-6497.

Ordered a full boat Lariat in October, took delivery may 7th

Rural dealer, Texas is Military friendly state. Most adults have served or have a friend/family member who served.

My order was 100% over the phone with a man who did not know me. Yet
I wanted a build to order truck and was not interested in any compromises.

I told dealer I was Military and qualified--Was DAV member with X Plan Pin--and A USAA member for financing and insurance. I also informed him I trade to new every 24~36 months a very low mileage clean vehicle for a newer version.

Last week when my truck was being prepped at this dealer there was a massive ATT internet outage in San Saba county where this Hill Country Ford dealer is. No land line or cell service and only sat internet worked.

Despite crippling communications he managed to message me to come buy the truck or if needed he could bring it to me 54 miles south in Lampasas.

My wife drove me to Goldthwaite and 47 minuets later I was on the way home.

X plan--check
$500 Military appreciation--Check
Funky arm twist for extended warranty, carpet protectant, exterior films, or any other typical dealer add on crap...not even asked or discussed.

I had the January post card type $2500 or F super duty series or $750 off other in stock or order and take delivery by 04-04-2022. Dealer is still working to get me this check as I did my part. Truck was made in March but took 6 week to get to central texas

The truth is X plan is only a good deal if your dealer is a upsell profit kind. the Invoice vs MSRP price is only -$195 on my 36K Lariat.

I retired Army 1996 and every new truck (5 so far) I used used X-plan and can say with some certainty --most dealers that accept a customer order and X-plan are the types of dealers that are not doing endless dealer prep add on crap like vin etching and "protectant packages" or $999 docs fees

IMO the discounts are nice...Much more important is a MORAL, HONEST dealer that wants Loyal customers to pay him for decades of good service
I have never found this dealer in Bigger cities... Rural folk generally have country values..

BTY my Velocity Blue Maverick only had ONE factory flaw...delivered with 50 PSI in each tire...

I've been told that a 6 month+ membership in Mustang Club of America is another way to get the X plan discount. Don't know for sure, but I think membership is like $20 per year...
