Why do you think it's a shipping delay? Have you read something about it?There are shipping delays at the factory, not production delays!I suppose it doesn't really matter which it is. Because the end result is still the same? It's affecting a boat load of people.
I tend to agree with you. However, I have to wonder why they can't seem to keep up a system as simple as their tracking system. That certainly isn't labor intensive. One or two people could input that data, even with the high number of units being produced. Speculation says that they have decided that in production is a better tab than built or shipped. We know they are built because the modules have populated, so why the secret of not posting the true status?
I was able to contact Ford marketing department this morning and my Ford Maverick has been built and is waiting final inspection. Should arrive at dealership between Dec. 27 and Jan. 2. Obviously, at least for my Ford the website isn't working except to give me a purchase verification and a build date. It's been stuck there for 2 1/2 weeks. Thank you all for your input. We will see if this delivery date holds true.
