Production Purgatory

I hope none of you all with recent builds are heading to Kansas City. My truck has been stuck on the rail there for 11 days. Last two "constructively placed" waiting for the transport hub ramp or whatever its called to accept. My dealer has vehicles backed up there over a month waiting on convoy.

@fordvideoguy any new on this clearing up anytime soon? i know you have trucks stuck as well.

I've noticed that it usually shows up about 2 weeks after it has hit the ramp.

Order update for 5/9 build week:
Emailed my dealer on 5/23, at the start of 3rd wk "in production" with no date, told me it should be built by end of week. It was built on Wednesday( 5/25) and all modules populated. Shipped Friday (5/27) with arrival at dealer 6/17-23. I never got a blend date. Ford tracker said Shipped but showing in production with 5/24.

Timeline: most ppl average 2wks to build from their Production wk. I've seen some at 1wk but mine took 3wks, I guess that's not unusual either.

If everything stay on schedule, that's a full 11 months journey for me. When I ordered in July, dealer told me it'd be around Thanksgiving to get the truck. He would probably be right if Ford didn't pulled that allocation BS stunt that they now admitted and reversed course on.

Hope the timeline help some of you so you don't keep checking constantly on a daily basis and drive yourself nuts (speaking from personal experience).

There were Two 1 week factory shut downs in there, and.... Hybrid did not have OKTB until late November or early December IIRC. Then add a couple stop ships because of certain parts and 2 week year end factory shutdown for holidays. Ford also changed ground transport companies along the way because of poor performance. A whole lot of stuff has gone sideways other than allocations...

I just got an update today on my order. It’s on the Union Pacific rail in Nogales, Arizona as of the 28th. Don’t know where next to get to New England but last ride on the rails I believe is Worcester MA

I'm a reasonable person. I understand market conditions causes part shortages and delays b/c it effect everyone across the board evenly. Fine, so be it.

The problem I have, and it's well documented on this forum and other (Reddit), is Ford knowingly gave preferences to certain dealers over others as reward for past performances.
And that...is allocation.

If allocation doesn't exist, why do we see new orders got their truck while older orders not even a scheduled date? And Ford put out an email along the line ...Now orders will be built by date they are received...

Yes mine was built 5/24 and I was told by Ford Chat that it was in the USA at Nogales AZ as of 5/28. But my vehicle is going to New England so I don’t know if your vehicle would be on the same rail.

Go on Ford Chat it seems to be the most up to date. Sometimes you have to wait quite a while but they have never not given me an answer. Good luck

Mine is still "In Production" with no dates on the tracker. Window sticker was first printed on 5/13 for a build week of 5/16 and nothing since then. Sounds like it could take up to 18 days to show a "built" status.

Update: Checked my tracker and order track app. Modules populated and tracker now says "built" today. Took about 14 days from build week start.

I'm looking at about the same dates as him July 5-11 i think

Been stuck in" In production" since the first week of May. Showed a 5-12 date then nothing. Called my salesman and Ford chat. Told I had an"End date"of June 27th. Didn't expect any change today and was shocked to see "BUILT".
