Private Offer Purgatory (POP)

18 months later my Maverick finally shows up at the dealership - yesterday. Was told they have my private offer. As I'm about to make the 2 hour journey to pick it up, salesman texts me saying there's an issue. Awesome.

According to him he can see the rebate but it won't give him the certificate #. Something like it won't let them select it and shows up as unavailable. Says their Ford Rep. won't return any calls. Marvelous.

I called Ford Marketing - 1800-334-4375 and was told they can't do anything and that they don't see anything other than my student discount. Cool.
I chatted with Ford CS and was told to call Ford Marketing. Lovely.

Believe me when I say I cannot wait for this whole process to be over. What a nightmare.

I know others have had similar issues and I have been following as much as I can.

Any ideas?

I am having the same issue with my dealer. Initially they refused to contact inventory specialist, but they have now agreed to contact them on Monday. I am very nervous about the outcome. Ford has made this process too complicated and the dealers are not up to the task of tracking the certificates down.

Ill be at my dealership on Monday as well. Hopefully it works out well for you. This whole experience has been awful. Plus, I hate seeing my truck listed on their website with the "come check this vehicle out, it won't last long" marketing because I don't know if they would really sell it on me. That's why I'm getting it done tomorrow. Don't let them push you around either. Hopefully tomorrow, we are both sporting new Mavericks. Let me know how it goes for you. Good luck.

Did you get your Maverick? Everything worked out for me. Didn't seem like there was any issue with the private offer. They did add on another $400 for whatever bs they were trying to sell me on. Just happy it's over. Hopefully you have yours now!

My dealer said my private offer is now showing, but the delivery date of my vehicle has now changed to the week of May 8th. I'm assuming they are still short on transport drivers. The truck is in Nashville and I am in Athens, AL.
