Go to another brand and you'll find the same exact scenario. I know people who have been waiting on Honda Hybrids since last September as well. It's a byproduct of the current times and global supply chain situation. Also, they owe it to their stock holders to build more profitable trucks like the F-150 with a given amount of supplies over a less profitable truck like the Maverick. I surmise that this applies mostly to Hybrid trucks. I ordered my Ecoboost XL a few weeks ago and last week I was given a production date for March and this week I was moved to February so it's not like they are screwing over all of the less profitable vehicle orderers, they're just maximizing profits which they are required to do as a publicly owned business and I'm sure if you owned, say a contracting business you would prioritize a more profitable large job over a less profitable small job. It is what it is, no use in blaming Ford here.

Rationalizing crap still leaves it as being crap.

I understand profit and fiscal responsibility and such.

It is still crap for someone to wait this long and see no light at the end of the tunnel.

As far as going to another brand, that remains to be seen. No urgent need for a new car, just a want.

I think you are a Fake period!! You sound off everytime someone complains about how F**ked Up Ford has become. You defend the shameful allocation system and the lack of communication from Ford and it's dealer's! Only a Fake would side with a corporation that is only interested in profit!!

We are all screwed.

Ford executives are targeting high profit builds. They stood up and said so.
Where do you think that leaves us?
Only Maverick builds gonna be scheduled are those that have all parts on hand right now. Parts and chips will be dedicated to profit making models.

Come on Ford, tell me that is not the truth!

My first order was placed 6-12-21, second one mid August. Both are Hybrid Lariat Lux with 360.
Hybrid builds are being pushed back already, why should we hope for any good news today?
Looks like our hybrid orders will be pushed to MY 2023 if we get them at all. Then there is no lock on the pricing once they get sent to next model year.

I really WANT my orders but I am lucky enough that I do not NEED them.

This bull crap delay stuff from Ford has soured me on a brand that I have supported since the 60's
Check with your dealer if they will honor the 2022 price. When I ordered mine on October 30, they said they will.

Yeah, I don't know if I completely agree. It's easy to blame global supplies shortages, but, I'm sorry, that is partially a copout. Do you really believe their production and supply chain managers are imbeciles that did not realize there would be shortages this year? Look, it didn't take a rocket scientist (or even a mildly savvy industry worker) to realize there would be serious supply chain issues. They should have planned accordingly and pivoted when they can -- and there is a lot of room to pivot if they wanted to. This notion that they are deemphasizing hybrid trucks to focus on F-150 doesn't make much logical sense. That's just not how multi-nationals work. I think they find themselves in a convenient, predictable, and profoundly profitable situation. They have a :poop:-ton of Mav orders, and they see that people will hang in there for 8+ months -- and they keep adding orders. How are we not seeing that this is the same dang thing they did with the Bronco? They'll be filling 2022 orders into 2023, and then adding 2023 orders along the way. And what's brilliant is that they can just blame the crazy delay on supply chain issues.

I mean, seriously... Place yourself in the position of a Ford executive; which scenario would you prefer:
(1) Mass producing vehicles that will ship to lots without known customers. Fork out a:poop:-ton of cash on TV advertising to encourage people in a struggling economy to go buy a crazy expensive new vehicle.
(2) Taking orders. Building vehicles to order. Having known buyers in advance. Being able to predict sells with much more precision. Saving vehicles from rotting on lots. Having to eventually offload vehicles that have been sitting on the lot for more than a year past it's production year (e.g., 2020 sitting on a lot until 2022). Sure, there will be people who bail on their orders, but those go to lots for inclusion in the traditional sit-on-the-hoping-for-a-pop-in-buyer model.

I'm sorry. You can defend Ford all you want to. The supply chain issue is a convenient problem that allows Ford to change their production model while being able to blame the absurd delays solely on supply chain issues.

Called Ford Customer Service. Still no build date. 9/5 order.🤬

Well, with no build date today, that makes it June as the absolute earliest I could get this truck.
