I was wondering if anyone knows how Ford production works with various trim levels etc. Do they run XLT's for a few days then switch to Lariat, then XL? Or is it all a blend? I've seen the production video, but never been in a plant myself. It seems like it would be most efficient to run a certain trim all at once for a time, but I have no idea...

They literally mix them on the assembly line. Not only do they mix trims and packages and colors, they also mix Bronco Sports and Mavericks together. They can alternate one after another over and over again down the assembly line. Nothing similar.

Interesting, I did not know they were that flexible. When people talk about them going down the assembly line together I thought there were a few different tracks to go down for production and they'd decide which track produces what each week.
