I like that endcap kit! It gives it a nice finished look. I am going to send that to a friend of mine with the same cover on a Frontier, he has a 1/4" gap at the tailgate.
You have to be careful though. The end caps are real fragile as they are a fairly brittle plastic. One of mine snapped just opening the cover. In their vote of confidence, Real Truck sent two complete end cap kits!

So I got a call that the parts came in, come pick them up! Since I installed the cover I have to replace the seals, if I had them do it I would have to pay and they would need the truck for a day.
Has anyone done this before? I am guessing I need to heat the seal up to peel it off, but I assume I then need to remove the leftover adhesive. The area that is loose is so small I am thinking of securing it with some flexible adhesive like rubber cement or shoe goo and doing the replacement in a few years when the seals get worse, I just don't want to use something that wont be removeable when it does come time to replace the seals.

It didn’t come with VHB tape attached?

Yes, the new seals have the strip of adhesive already on them, I am thinking of a way to resecure the loose section on the existing seals for now.

I did the tape, it is holding it down but since the rest is adhesive directly on the rubber it has elevated the seal and doesn't look that good. I am becoming increasingly aggravated that I spent a lot of money on what was supposed to be the best and am left to deal with a factory defect myself.
