I ordered a 2023MY September 2022. It was rolled over in June when order banks opened again.

I have since learned my order was “cancelled”, Ford chat and marketing said they don’t have visibility on who cancelled it.

My private offer is showing, can I still use it elsewhere? Marketing said yes, dealer bulletins I see online say no….???? Anyone experienced similar?

My dealer is imcompetent.
I firmly believe they cancelled my order and submitted another one…..still trying to figure it all out.

Same issue, dealer cancelled my 23’ and I lost out on private offer and priority 02 status. When I submitted for my 24’ I explained to them how it was supposed to be done and to not cancel my 23’ as Ford would be doing that if not scheduled. They cancelled the 23’ regardless and don’t want to be bothered with reaching out to regional rep to try to correct the issue.

Dang, yeah it is certainly deflating. My current priority is a 3, but my “cancelled” order was at a 2 last I checked on it back in August.
It makes no sense!!

Exactly the same thing happened to me in Canada. My original order for a XLT Hybrid /lux was made on Sept 17/2022. I went to my Local Dealer on July 17 2023 to be positive that my order would be rolled over to a 24 and not be cancelled. I was assured by my salesman it had been. Last week after checking with customer service for build updates on my order, I was informed that my 2023 order had in fact been cancelled and a new 2024 order had been placed on Aug 2nd, the person at customer service even asked "why would they do that?". So exactly what I didn't want to happen, happened. (apparently I was this Dealerships first rollover). So no private offer or priority scheduling for my order any more. So after over 13 months with no VIN or scheduling I finally figured out my dealer was incompetent, misleading and evasive. Now with nothing tying me to that Dealer, I cancelled everything and asked to have my $1000 deposit returned.
The day after, I reordered the same 2024 Maverick Hybrid XLT Lux at a new dealership about an hour away, and will start the process all over again. Communicating with the new dealer was a night and day difference compared to the original Dealer, they really appeared to know what they were doing, providing proper documentation and extremely satisfying follow up. The takeaway from my experience is to be extremely proactive (I thought I was) and use due diligence in your vehicle order, ask questions, check on the volume of sales and allocations at your chosen Dealer, and lastly be aware that some car salesman & Dealers are NO different than they were 50 years ago, the sleaze and incompetence are just camouflaged better. The first Dealer lied to me right to the bitter end.
