Priority 10 - What does this mean?

I called my dealership this morning and he said I was at priority 10. He explained that if the car order behind mine had all the parts and materials then that order can jump ahead of my order, thus being build before mine even if it was ordered after mine?

Trying to understand these priority codes and why others are being built before others even if the orders are after the others.

Anyone have any good insight on the priority codes?

Sitting at 10 sounds depressing and defeating....

Priority 10 is the highest priority you can get on a retail (customer) order. It is a positive. However, your dealer is correct in that once your order is processed, you need to be scheduled for a build and that will only happen once Ford confirms all the parts needed to build are available. Long MacArthur Ford just posted the constraints for Jan and looks like Spray in bedliner, bed extender and a few others. Look at this post I made for a bit more detail - just trying to summarize what others have previously covered.

I was a Priority Code 12, with an order date of 11/5. Just heard yesterday that my Maverick will be in production the week of February 21st.

Thought I had read on this forum that people were assigned priority codes between 10-19, but swear I read that someone on this forum was given a priority of 2?!

I order August 12 so you have a build date an I do not, hehehe go figure. Do you have the luxury package? Do you have the spray in bed liner?

I ordered an XL EB with the spray in liner. Other than the slider window as a special option and a few other goodies, I tried to keep it simple.

IIRC, 10-19 describes order priority at a dealer level. 2 Means Ford's national system has taken the order to be put into scheduling, or something to that effect.
