Price protection check

Ordered my truck Sunday Dec 26th 2021 the day before the price went up. Recieved it Nov 8th 2022. The dealer told me they would send the check when they got it from Ford. I was a bit dubious about that but I knew other forum members had done that. Recieved a call today that the check is on its way. Very happy. Leo Kaytes Ford in Warwick NY small dealer. Highly recomend them. You read so much about dealer BS just had to say there are good ones out there.

Almost 2 months, read on another post some have waited 3 months. But typical seems to be 6 weeks. I was ready to ask them after 2 months.

Drove my Mav home on 11/25/22. After almost 17 month wait. Got my price protection check on 12/14/22. $1,522.00, just in time to by ME something really nice for Christmas.

The dealer should get reimbursed in 4-6 weeks. So 6-8 weeks is a good estimate for timeframe for dealer to send customer check. If you've been waiting more than 2 months, you should check in with the dealer.

I hoped to buy an extended warranty with the check. Concerned with all the electronics. However I need to get some ash tress cut down. Damn Chinese pest is killing them all.

I completely forgot about price protection. Imagine my surprise today when a $1,000+ check arrived in the mail. That will make for a happy new year. Not surprising I forgot, since I took delivery several months ago.

It's a good way to start the year. I'm just happy all the angst of orderering, waiting, hoping nothing go's wrong is over.
