My understanding is that every time they ask for you to send them a private message with your vin, they send you an unhelpful private message back, telling you to take the vehicle to your local dealer. Please let us know if the official Ford account actually gave you any benefit to spending your time to give them your details.
I certainly don't expect Ford Motor Company to diagnose a problem over the Internet through this forum.

I believe asking for the information is a Goodwill gesture from Ford Motor Company who is the administrator of this form, to at least touch base with a customer who may be having a problem with their vehicle. And possibly notify the local dealer of the problem ahead of time.
More than likely the problem also gets noted in some type of database.

I understand what the theoretical benefits of these interactions are, but I have not heard of any forum users reporting back any real benefits from one of these interactions. My comment was not made to be cynical. It was made to share the experience that other users have reported in this forum and to request that the OP lets us know if this interaction ends up providing a real benefit, like automatically scheduling him into a high priority repair appointment.

If everyone was reporting back that these interactions were super helpful in getting their problems diagnosed and repaired, I would be highly motivated to use that avenue as well. However, since I have not heard any positive outcomes from these interactions, it seems like it would just be a waste of time.

Maybe the first thing you should be asking members who have been contacted by Ford to DM their information is.
Did they follow through?
That would make more sense than bashing Ford for trying to help.

I had my own experience with it back in July concerning my air conditioning. The dealer was advised I was coming in. Nothing special happened.
Comply with this post and send a DM to the Ford account took me all of 2 minutes. Hardly a waste of time.

I followed up with the dealer and we came to a resolve and that was the end of it. The longest part was 2 hour wait at the dealership with the truck parked out in the sun to heat up.
As I suspected, the system was running properly. When it's 110° outside and inside the truck is 147°+
The climate control is set on auto and the thermostat is to 70.
The system runs the compressor at max phase and is very noisy, the engine may or may not be running.
It seemed the compressor was quieter with the engine running.
As the cabin temp. drops the compressor slows and gets quieter.

2023 Hybrid, bed outlet worked fine about 3 months ago, not sure about the interior one. Now, neither one will work. I had it in for a recall about 6 weeks ago, but I don't know if that undid the outlets or not. The interior one has an amber light that lights up when the Mav is first started but goes off in like 3 seconds.
