If you don't have CP360 on your XL it's a no go, separate main wiring harness that doesn't bring any power to the mirrors.

edit: I posted the part diagram and harness description for someone else that shows no power to the mirrors on XL no CP360

I was going to go by the power heated mirrors off XLT luxury package from my dealership said that I can order them if I want. I would take them to a shop that specializes in electrical components on vehicles. I was wondering if anybody else has tried this yet I do have an XL with no power mirrors. Also do you have a picture of where the power switch is located for power mirrors?

I mean, I'm going to say it's gonna be involved, all the wiring through the door loom from the switch, to the fuse block, and out to the mirrors, honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it's close to a grand once you buy the mirrors. The mirror switch is with the power window switches on models that have power mirrors.

Also, personally, this is such an involved job, I would not want some questionable tech hacking into my electrical system. A simple dash cam install? Cool but to me you're just asking for problems with peripheral electrical components and systems because that's how much work is involved with this. It's by no means a simple job

I think that what @FakeCowboy is trying to say is that you should have optioned your XL with CP360 because the $540 cost of adding 360 would have saved you money in the long run because adding them afterward is to complex and involved; therefore it doesn't make much sense financially.

I'm not even really saying that, I think this person bought a dealer stock abandoned order because it was what they could get but it's not even the money, it's just the complexity and the chance you're taking by having some unknown hack into sensitive components and harnesses within the truck just to add power mirrors. Totally not worth it at any price to me.

Thanks for all the info, and it's more the heat really, I love in cleveland and winter with no rear defroster or heated mirrors is not ideal to say the least

FakeCowboy is correct. The complexity of trying to use the system that existing to me is out of the question and so expensive. I myself picked up a XL hybrid with no accessories from a dealer I did not order it.

But I have added, bed liner -lariat lights-welding a trailer hitch to the existing crash bar-installed the trailer hitch wiring with the bronco sport wiring kit. Put the weather teck front floor liners in that do fit the hybrid. Replace the rims with bronco sport, rims that fit perfectly. Spent over half a day ceramic coating it.

Now I'm on the mirrors and this is a lot more complicated than just plug-and-play.

I remove the manual mirrors to find a close fitting replacement and so far there is none. But thats only half the battle. Once you get one that might fit the controlling system would have to be separate and be able to work with the existing mirrors that you purchased.

I have found that there is no universal controlling mirror control switch there all made to different wiring specifications and different model cars.

Right now at the moment. I've given up on this idea until somebody else on this form can find something that work and also look OEM

Dealer said I can get the mirrors off the x l t heat and Power 295 each plus you have to buy the control switch for 50 bucks and then have somebody do it shop near me quoting me about four hundred bucks at most. I may just had one of those heating elements which is much easier and the blind spot mirror stick on. Also looking into adding defrost for rear window
