Do the12v accessory wires in the bed have constant power or switch on and off

Some people say its switched on and off, some say its has constant voltage,some say it has to have ignition switch on,and some say it times off with the interior lightsmine is a constant on and and stays on .so how is it supposed to be controled.

I tested mine with truck running and was on
Shut truck off and it stayed on for a few minutes after it shut off, didn’t test to see how long though. I’m adding another bed light soon and will find out for sure then

After to turn truck off - it receives power for a few minutes

My power was still on after 15 minutes.i,m asumeing its hot wired.

You can use something like this to control the stuff in the bed. You can even wire it so that one of the switches is the "master switch" and has to be on for the rest of the stuff on the panel to get power.

Look around. There are all sorts of styles, colors, and configurations. Just make sure it is marine grade so you don't have problems with moisture.

Probably the same timeout as all other 12V accessories, including the outlets inside and the infotainment system. That would be about 15 minutes. Sooner if the BMS (Battery Management System) detects the voltage dropping too low.

Today from the time i turned the led lights on after turning ignition switch on then off,the lights took about 84 minutes to cut off.
