Power Locking Tailgate standard on what trims?

I went on Fords web site to build a Mav and noticed “ power locking tailgate “ is on the 300A group. However I didn’t see it on the 500A group or Lariat packages? So I’m guessing its a standard key lock add on at the dealership

The power locking tailgate is not standard on the xl, but it can be fairly easily added. There is a posting on the forum that provides part numbers and pictures to describe the installation process.

i see on some cars the fob only opens truck and manufacturer removed the

I see a keyhole on the right side of the tailgate handle so it may be safe to assume you can.

Yes, you can. I opened mine with a key a couple of times before I realized it was a power lock. (Hey, I'm old

)
