Possible solution for software update errors

I have been trying for 2 days to update the software in my XLT. I have had issues with everything from wifi refusing to connect to being stuck at 0%. I have tried the soft reset and turning the truck on and off. Nothing worked. Finally I went into setting and did a factory reset of the radio. After that the wifi connected right away and on the first try the software downloaded and installed without error.

Maybe try this if nothing else works.

yes. Thank you, forgot to mention that. The hard reset removes your Fordpass registration and you have to reconnect it.

Don’t know. Ford doesn’t giveI release notes that I know of.

I have had a lot of random issues with my radio. Time will tell if my ambient lighting turns off on its own. Or my screen freezes. Or my CarPlay won’t connect. Or it does but the screen is unresponsive. Or the radio takes minutes to load. Or the brightness lowers on its own. Or I have to factory reset the radio to update it.
