Cover king has a youtube video listed as a custom seat cover install, but it shows a bed liner install instead. Haven't been able to find a price for it yet.

Feel bad for whoever had the poor spray in bed liner they cover.

Wow the SIBL prior to installation looks like complete shit. What did they do to it? The new liner was much needed.

I have had the one piece bed rug in my 1999 lightning since day one and it looks as good as new.quality is top notch and its all one piece.not cheap but good quality products come with high price tag.im not sure if a one piece one is available for the maverick or not.

Horse stall mats they sell at tractor supply also work well.

This is what I used for my truck, a single sheet will cover the whole bed and tailgate with extra left over. I used black automotive connectors you can buy at places like Lowes to hold it in place.

If you want something less thick

Thanks. The larger one is on sale right now for $40, I had looked at it a few days ago.
What do you mean by automotive connectors, shouldn't it stay in place when cut to fit?

It can slide when the tailgate is open. You can put it in without but you will most likely have to cut it into 2 to 3 pieces to fit it to the bed. When start sliding stuff in and out it can move the mat if not fastened down. If you line the tailgate itself you'll have to fasten that.

The ones in question are like these Hillman push fasteners

You just need to get ones that the depth is deeper than the thickness of the mat. Drill holes through the mat and bed small than the fastener and hammer in. Rug will not move at all afterwards.

Thanks. I have the spray in bed liner, which has pretty good grip, so may not be needed.

I cut mine to fit in one piece. I cut it slightly wider than the bed (1/16"-1/8") so that it fit tight and not move. I have hauled groceries, luggage and trash in bed and the mat has not moved. I do have a tonneau cover now, but not when it was first installed (about 3 months) and it still did not move. The tailgate piece is not permanently installed. It is only used to protect the tailgate if I need to haul something longer than the bed.
