For 20 bucks, you can convert your portable CD player into a bluetooth device. I use this one for my iPod Classic with close to 12,000 tunes on it. Just set the device to transmit and have it plugged into the CD player's headphones jack. Also works as a bluetooth receiver if you have an older non-bluetooth stereo, etc. (just plug it into the AUX port if you want the stereo to receive from a bluetooth-equipped player).

I miss my CD player! I would like to buy a portable CD player that can connect to the Maverick by BlueTooth or USB.

Has anyone else done this successfully?

I cannot imagine a scenario in modern times where you would spontaneously have a new CD you want to listen to. Just convert your CD library to MP3s and put them all on a flash drive. Stick the flash drive in the usb port and pick the album you want to listen to.
Better yet, get an Apple Music subscription and you can literally just ask Siri to play any song or album on demand.

Serious point here... leaving an electronic device on the console or seat is just asking to have your car broken into. Tweakers won't know it's a relatively no-value CD player until it's too late.

Remember all the vibration-induced troubles CD players brought? Do yourself a big favor to rip your favorite CDs to mp3 and load them to a USD driver.
Well that would be compression upon compression so it would degrade the music even more, and some would rather have the added sound quality and the pain of CD's. Me. I will try the thumb drive with the "std radio" and see what I can live with. I am old school, like CD's, but can usually live with mp3's. Just a few thoughts to consider.

LOL, you never know. Some movies go to directly to VHS. Seeping opening night. Isle 16 in Walmart, next to discontinued pile.

I'm looking for a minidisc option. Anyone found a good head unit that accepts minidiscs? I keep my whole library on minidiscs for obvious reasons. Durability of a cassette, convenience of a disc. Best of both worlds.
