I am not sure what I am missing here but A/Z pricing doesn't really give me an edge against normal buyers (like barely 1.5k ish) according to dealer websites. It is my first time using a discount like this in an automotive industry but I feel like it's not too much. Am I missing anything here?

It depends on the vehicle. A lot more of a discount when you're looking at a $100K+ Navigator.

I think same thing goes withthe Navigator too (essentially as the dealers are giving discounts towards invoice levels to the public).

I'm not sure why you say you don't have an edge against normal buyers -- are you calculating it correctly? A/Z should be below invoice price. Plus, limited doc fee. Plus, you don't have to haggle. Are people getting better deals than that?

I knew about that but was asking as I saw someone getting like 10k off on an escape somewhere on the web with employee discount included

The A/Z/X plans are set pricing - it can be combined with rebates, but I think $10k off is a stretch for an Escape. Maybe on something >$100k you could see something like that with a big rebate combined, but I don't think you'll see that on a Maverick or similar.

I found these a couple years back. Assuming it has not changed (at least not much), it provides a pretty good idea of the different plans available - outside of special rebates, like first responder, etc.

A/Z provides a NO-Stress buying and fixed low dealer fees. No slimy tactics and no "let me check with my manager". It is a fixed price that you should be able to figure out using Ford's MyPlan website once you have your PIN #.

If there is a surplus of the vehicle and the dealers are making deals below invoice to move inventory, then you might not see a significant savings over the stressful dealer negotiation process, but you should still be less in almost every single case. A/Z pricing should roll in any Ford rebates or dealer incentives before calculating. At least, that's the way it is supposed to work.

The discount will NEVER be $10K on a vehicle that is only priced at $35-50K. Think a percent under invoice or something like that. Ford isn't giving its vehicles away...at least not yet.
