First thought that came to mind, keep it simpleAs someone else already posted, a folding step stool is a potential solution. At 5'-5 and 63, this is what I used for my Tacoma which is notably higher than the Maverick. I store it in the floor in the back seat. It isn't very elegant, but it works for me.
