You might have to learn how to use the four wheel lock and rear locker from experience. But here are some tips. It depends on the conditions especially when it comes to sand each day or week could be different depending on dry conditions. To start just keep you Tremor in normal mode and use the manual buttons meaning the 4 wheel lock and locking diff as you see fit. Keeping it in normal mode will allow a faster up shift and keep momentum especially when approaching a steep hill or on long straight runs where you don't want your engine revving at 2500 and only doing 15 mph .This will be useful as long as your engine is not bogging down but if it is starting to bog down your transmission will drop a gear in most cases. If the terrain is bumpy and hilly and the sand is very soft I will just put it in the sand mode keep the revs up and take it slow. Use the rear diff lock if you feel your getting no traction in the sand. However if you are digging in the sand and not moving forward stop!!! don't fight it and reverse out of it other wise the sand will win, Don't forget to disable you traction control in the normal mode. And air down your tires.
