Picked up new Lariat this morning

I had an XLT Tremor, got it June 1st. Traded back to dealer when my Lariat
got scheduled. The Tremor was ok but
I wasn’t crazy for it. This Lariat is the one I was really hoping for. My dealer was great, Paramount Ford in Valdese NC.
I paid less than sticker on both. They also did not touch them when they got them. I really appreciate that. On the 20 mile ride home , mpg already over 40. I’m liking that.

Congrats nice looking truck. As the year progressed I was hoping our 23 would not get scheduled. The 24's start production this month which means the 23's have a years worth of depreciation on them.

I took delivery of my '23 XL cactus gray hybrid on Monday. Even including the doc fee, it was still less than the quoted price on the day I ordered it in September 15, 2022. I also got over 40 MPG on the 100 mile drive home through the Ozarks. I couldn't be happier.

I took the Maverick out for its first good ride today. More than 100 miles. It is very hilly where I am in NC. Average MPG at 43.5. So far, I’m liking it a lot.

How did the trade value on the Tremor compare with your original purchase price? I'm looking to do the same thing when my '24 Lariat comes in (trading an XLT Lux hybrid) but not if I'm going to lose my ass on the trade.

Also, how does the stereo in the Lariat sound compared to the XLT? I will probably upgrade the front speakers and add a subwoofer to mine if I end up keeping it. It sounds good enough for now though.

My dealer gave me sticker price when they took the Tremor back. I paid $1500 less than sticker when I got it. It only had 900 miles on it. They gave me $1750 off sticker for the Lariat. Plus I had a $500 Farm Bureau discount. You should do much better trading in a hybrid. The stereo is much better in the Lariat. Night and day compared to the XLT.
