The radio takes control of the phone and text, that is fine.
All my other alerts, specifically my calendar and task apps, are muted. I never hear them when I am in the truck.
The Verizon agent I spoke with suggested I disable Android Auto since the truck is controlling things via Bluetooth.
I did that.
The phone and text still worked perfectly, but I was still not getting any notifications from my other apps.
I looked through the settings and didn't see anything.
I called Ford. The agent was just going over everything I had already looked at.
We got disconnected and she didn't call back.
I didn't think the call was going anywhere so I didn't call back either.

There is probably nothing that can be done, but I figure if anyone knows anything, I will be here.

Any thoughts on how get notifications?

There is a Focus mode on an Iphone that silences alerts while driving, there may be a similar option available on an Android phone.

That was so cool, and so close, but not it.
I didn't realize that feature existed. Thank you for thinking of it.
I found it, but it's turned off.
Bummer!
I would have so amazing if that were it.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Have you tried messing with the settings in your phone for android auto. I know you can pick which apps are controlled via the phone.

There are settings for android auto and I changed them to be what I was told they should be.
That didn't help.
The Verizon agent suggested I disable android auto completely because the car Bluetooth should handle everything.
I did. The phone and text still worked perfectly, but my notifications were still muted, so the only place that can be muting them (especially based on the first suggestion in this post) is that Ford Sync is doing something.
As I said, Ford was no help, but there are things I have learned on this forum that Ford didn't know so I'm just hoping someone here has an answer.
Thank you for trying. I really appreciate it.

Consider cross posting to to an Android forum. iPhone does not do this in the maverick. It sounds like a phone issue, not a Maverick issue.

If anyone else is reading this and they have a non-Samsung android phone please respond and tell me if you have the same issue.
If anyone has a Samsung phone that does not have this issue, please let me know.

Phimosis, thank you for that.
Based on your response I called Samsung.
The agent knew less than I did.
I am guessing you are correct and will need to try again.

I have a Samsung android phone and have issues receiving call notifications through the infotainment system. Sometimes I get calls, sometimes I don't. Text message notifications come through just fine no matter what. I am not using Android Auto.

Do you get calendar notifications or have you noticed?
