Here is the Matriarch of our fur baby family. She is a 16.5 year old Yorke.

Edit: I am sad to report that we lost our sweet Annie early March of this year (2022). She has left a large hole in our hearts and household.

Reviving this post... i need to see all of the adorbs kids in lui of never seeing my Mav.

This is Ella. She is just shy of a year. I flew to Saint Louis, drove to Illinois and picked her up then drove her back to SoCal. She is half apbt and the other parent was a weimeraner/beagle mix.

I don't normally do puppies and she is trying my patience, but I love her. Cinder passed last February at almost 14.

This is our little Jackapoo named Rumple or Rumpie or Rump the hump (LOL). He will be my Maverick sidekick when my truck arrives.

And this is our elder Great Dane, she is 10 years old and has a hard time getting in and out of any vehicles. When she was younger she loved to go camping and rides in the truck to Tim Hortons ! We also had a saint bernard but she passed away over 2 years ago.

NOT A PET- worst pet EVER, but I spend my weekends with Star, a Red-tailed hawk that someone tried to make a pet. She is imprinted and has no idea how to hunt (and I cannot teach her). Again, worst pet ever, but I have spent ten years caring for her and working with her, and she will surely ride in the truck if I ever get it. Tailgate is perfect for getting her out of her travel box when we do presentations. Just did our first in two years!

Got this little guy a couple of weeks ago. Our chocolate Lab wanted a buddy.
His name is Jake.

Lucy was a rescue and was originally named Dixie. I wanted two pups named Lucy and Ethel, so Dixie became Lucy.

About a month later we found Carly. Her name was Carl, so my wife added a y and she became Carly.

Credit them for me finding the Maverick. I need a four door so I can haul them around and I like having a truck.

We lost mom dog, Aussie in back, left and center are sibs, papa on right.

We've since gotten a new Aussie.

Background first. My neighbor had a 1-year old female Pit Bull that had puppies on Feb 7th (~ 9 weeks ago). She (my neighbor) passed away on March 6th and none of the family members wanted the mama or the puppies, meaning that they were abandoned. I took it upon myself to take care of the mama so she could keep feeding her pups. I found homes for all of the pups and kept one for myself (the runt). Unfortunately, I couldn't keep the mama, so I called the Humane Society to come and get her.
I never wanted a pit bull, but now I can't imagine life without her. She is a handful and keeps my son and me busy. She is a little over 9 weeks old. A week ago she had her 1st Vet visit and she weighed 9 lbs. She is a beautiful puppy and will grow into a beautiful dog.
