Perimeter plus install

I have have a Maverick Lariat Lux and seen on the window sticker that it has a perimeter alarm. Is this the same as perimeter plus? If not then what's the difference. Found this link on how to
install perimeter plus for free. Any info would be helpfull.

Perimeter Plus is a two stage shock sensor. I added one to my Lariat Lux.

The included Perimeter Alarm on the Maverick only has door sensors, possibly hood sensor never tried to test that.

Fyi, there are no Interior Sensors that are mentioned in the manual either.

It's very inexpensive. The cable cost more than the program. I tried it on my F150 looked around but to chicken to change anything. If you just want to look around it's free but still have to buy the cable.

Yes could be guess the cover needs to be popped off to see if it has the right module.

That module he shows in the video @ 1:50 is the perimeter plus alarm.

The Maverick doesn't have one unless you add it.

No idea why he claims that all Ford vehicles after a certain year come with it.

I looked into this last night and think that @Gullzway is right. I don't think it's installed by default.

To start:

• I have a Lariat Lux.
• It comes with remote start and the basic alarm.
• I have a hybrid.
• I have push button start.

According to Forscan, my perimeter alarm is already enabled.

My window sticker lists 'Perimeter Alarm', so this checks out. I think this is the basic alarm.
