Passenger side Speaker Grill rattle -

Anyone have luck getting this fixed under warranty? Definitely seems like a metal clip is getting looser every day and making more noise playing music and driving on less than perfect roads. Thx -

The tweeter grille or something in the door? FWIW the clips are all plastic on the tweeter grilles.

Also maybe check if there's felt strips on the underside of the cover. I noticed my passenger side had some and the driver's didn't. Possibly either phasing them out or maybe mine just got missed.

Or it could just be windshield rattle.

It was weird. One service guy told me the speaker was ordered but has not yet arrived. The other guy said no we actually replaced it. It still buzzes with bass just less. I have been looking into just upgrading the door speakers at this point, been lazy about it though but yes it's still annoying.

It's NOT the SPEAKER that is rattling. It is the plastic speaker grill that is on top the dash on the left and right side.

No dash rattle here. My situation is the door speaker.

Can you send over a message with your VIN and estimated mileage? Since this has been an ongoing issue for you, I would like to take a closer look at your speaker concerns on my end.

It's so easy to fix, you just jam something in the gap like a small piece of foam or a folded piece of paper. Don't waste your time with the dealership.

I am assuming the speaker is fine but the cone when fully active is hitting the back side of the door/speaker grill- Easiest way to shimmy the door panel a little to gain access without full removal ?

Yes went thru this sillyness a year or so ago. All they do is call the dealer on your behalf and it just drives the service folks nuts like you are tattling on them or something.

My passenger door speaker has been doing the same thing. Buzzing/rattling with certain bass frequencies. Did you get them to fix it?

Brought up this issue at my 20k service this week. The dealership tech took the door panel off to verify it was the panel and not the speaker. The dealer is now replacing the door panel under warranty since it’s coming from an area that can’t simply be tightened.
