For those looking for a mild upgrade from the stock radio, the Infinity Reference REF607FSL in the front door have been impressive. Adds a lot more bass punch and a huge improvement on mid range. $87 at Crutchfield and they include instructions, adapter ring and wire harness adapter.

I've been following this thread for a while, and have been plotting my 2025 Lariat Hybrid B&O upgrade, but have encountered a roadblock in the planning. With the Oru camper top I'm building out the bed as a camper, which will include an aux electrical system connected to the Mav's 12V system at the battery via a Victron Orion-TR Smart DC-DC charger. The goal is to be able to top off the aux house bank while driving.

While I'd like to replace the B&O sub with the OP's recommended speaker and amp, I'm not comfortable with the Orion pulling ~30A and the sub's amp also pulling 30-35A (yeah, peaks, but still...) while driving. It sounds like the max driving load should be limited to the 30-35A range to allow a healthy headroom for the rest of the Mav's potential 12V load supplied by the battery and the high-voltage BMS.

So... with all that said, is it worth replacing the stock B&O 6x9 sub driver with the OP's dual-voice coil sub driver and connecting it to the OEM B&O amp?

Enquiring ears want to know...

This is what I was looking for. Make a few changes to improve the bass punch without going crazy. Do you have a recommendation for the pillar speakers as well or is that not going to make a big difference? I’m not an audiophile and like the B&O system, just want the bass to punch a little better and deeper.

I ended up going with the Rockford Fosgate R165-S. They have definitely made a difference and I’m happy with the results.
