FX4 Off-Road Package & 4k Tow Package specifically
I'm wondering which features (if both packages are selected) override the other. The slight wording difference makes me wonder if they're the same upgrade, and if not then which one is better? Comparison of conflicts below.

A/T Tire 225/65R17 (FX4) vs. AS BSW Tires (4KT)
Heavy Duty Engine Cooling Fan (FX4) vs. Upgraded Cooling Fan (4KT)
Heavy Duty Radiator (FX4) vs. High Capacity Radiator (4KT)

Also: Do you really lose Eco Mode when getting the off-road package?
With all packages selected, any idea of the new (reduced) MPG?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help clarify.

This has been discussed but afaik biggest difference is fx4 doesn’t have transmission cooler which some argue is the most important aspect for towing. You do lose sport and eco mode with fx4. I ordered fx4 just for aesthetics. If you are towing best bet is 4k or both. I think I read fx4 mpg is only -1 mpg compared to non fx4.

That's weird, I specifically searched those keywords first and nothing came up.
I see how there are differences, but ones that are the same category don't specify beyond vague wording. You're correct with the 1mpg difference. I'm wondering if combining that with tow (different drive ratio and wider tires) brings it into the teens. I'm really hoping the FX4 comes with Falken tires. I wish it specified that too.
Side note: I ordered the same thing as you

Fx4 tires default tires are Pirelli Scorpion I believe

Changing modes is just as easy to do with your feet. Tbh slippery basically equals eco and mud and ruts sport. All these do is change the throttle response. Slippery responds like a slug, and mud and ruts keeps the revs high. You won't miss them.

other than that, buy the fx4 for the face value features, or skip it. Tires and wheels, 6.5 inch screen (for non XLT trim), skid plates, read shock setup. To me $800 was an excellent value, but if you don't like the cosmetics it probably isn't worth it.

That's helpful. Now I wonder which tires are picked if both packages are selected. Probably Tow trumps, because they're wider and it might be related to the 4k rating

The teens? That's nuts.

What is this talk of losing mpg with this setup? Unfounded if you ask me. You can see where I'm at in my signature, that is 4400 miles driven and 26.3mpg calculated, overall. Tow and fx4.

I love the cosmetics. It is a great value. And your throttle response comparison makes a lot of sense.

That's awesome (and relieving). By teens, I only meant the city rating, which I believe is 20 w/ offroad & AWD. So I was concerned with the higher drive ratio, It might lose another MPG in the city.

My current tank is the worst so far. But the conditions warrant the bad numbers. It hasn't been above 20 in over a week, and all short trips, traffic and driving around Minneapolis and suburbs. Still at 23mpg in those conditions.

You'd have to be entirely short trips and stop and go, gunning it at every light to get under 20 in this thing.

Completely disagree. I'm averaging 17 in city or worse. Ecoboost 2.0. Huge miss here

I have all of the packages. MPG is never under 20. Just normal driving I am at 22 MPG and I added 245 Wildpeaks so….
Both packages, you will get black wheels and Pirelli’s
I put the FalkenWildpeaks on because I think they are better for winter driving plus they look incredible. I love my Maverick and it has exceeded my expectations. Fun to drive, very quick, awesome ride, and it looks awesome. My opinion, it’s the best value in the automotive market.

That's awesome. Seperately i thought Falkens came with one of the packages, but only if you select one (is my understanding). Some video i watched.. but i completely agree with you. It's an unbeatable value. I'm just having a hard time deciding between the two engines.
