This was taken before I honeycombed my lenses. The A was taken from the F in FX4. The W is an upside down M from the Maverick OEM logo. And then he styled the D to match the two other letters. Click on photo to enlarge.

regarding your ford emblem, where did you get the black/silver insert? is it vinyl or hard plastic insert? also, how did you make the surrounding chrome area of the logo.. black? thanks in advance

The Ranger insert modification was just too much work for me now. I want to wait until an OEM black out emblem kit comes out for the Maverick. So I followed the thread instructions to remove the emblem assembly. I then took it to my spray painting booth (AKA Garage). I put down two coats of primer, and 8-10 light coats satin black. I didn't sand it at all. Then I put on 3 coats of clearcoat.

I went straight over the existing blue emblem and chrome bezel. All black. And then after it cured to absolutely no tackiness, I applied a black oval decal I ordered from Etsy. I went with Shadow Black and Iconic Silver lettering/outline.

It's been holding up extremely well to Washington winter snow/rain, road grime, sand, rocks, car washes. I applied a ceramic hybrid wax over it too, so it beads water nicely.

I still will eventually change to a black OEM emblem once it's a simple bolt on. But this works great until that happens. People think it's OEM, until I show them.

I like it. Looks great on white. But I would go for an OEM look. Maybe try to match the MAVERICK font?

Ummmm...while it doesn't look horrible, I wouldn't do it myself. When in doubt, leave it out. A 'clean' look is usually best. It's so easy to cross the line into wretched excess, lol.

Hood Lettering?
I started another thread asking the forum community about hood lettering similar to the ford explorer. What do you guys think? Yay or Nay? I'm kind of torn in between. here are some photoshopped versions of my truck with the lettering.

Not my cup of tea, but if you like it, go for it!

I'm going to probably leave everything stock, but if I do anything it'll be embracing the truck styling and going towards the f150... Not towards the Ford SUV styling language.

I appreciate the feedback, another member as well suggested on the idea to using the styling of the Maverick by keeping the oem font style. But I'm going to sit on the idea (hood lettering) for a while and prioritize on more practical addon's for now before modifying the aesthetics of my truck. Thanks again

love the window tint and black rims. Overall i think all black trim on white looks sexy... I will eventually hyperdip my wheels all black and tint match my driver and passenger side windows. also thinking of blacking the chrome on the headlights like the Youtube Maverick star, Mr.Boom! and a quick brakelight wrap as well. also love the tires man... what type and size?

Ordered my XLT in November in the Cyber orange, switched to cactus gray 2 months ago, now I really want to switch to the Oxford white.
